WHY VOLUNTEER
Volunteering at Project Rising Hope is not just about moving food. It is about being present with people during a hard season of life and making sure they know they are not alone.
Our volunteers greet every neighbor by name. They help first-timers find their footing. They have conversations in the aisles, share meals of laughter and prayer, and show up week after week because they know it matters.
WHAT VOLUNTEERS DO
How You'll Serve
Welcome Neighbors – You are often the first face someone sees. Volunteers greet every person warmly, answer questions, and make sure no one feels lost or out of place, especially first-timers.
Stock and Organize – Help receive, sort, and stock pantry shelves before and during distribution. Fresh produce, pantry staples, and donated items all need hands to make it happen.
Walk the Aisles – Assist neighbors as they shop, help carry items, answer questions about what is available, and simply be present. Sometimes the most important thing a volunteer does is listen.

WHEN AND WHERE
When We Need You
Every Tuesday
Our food pantry runs every Tuesday from Noon to 4pm, and we need volunteers on-site before neighbors arrive to make sure everything is ready. If you are joining us for the first time, plan to arrive a little early so we can get you oriented and comfortable before the doors open.

We are located in the heart of Cottonwood in the Verde Valley. Parking is available on-site. When you arrive, look for a volunteer or team member at the entrance and let them know it is your first time. Someone will walk you through everything.
Come as Often as You Can
Whether you can commit to every Tuesday or just show up when life allows, we are grateful for every hour you give. Many of our volunteers have been coming week after week for years. Others drop in when they are able. There is no pressure and no minimum. Just a community that is always glad to see you.
